ATAC are proud to present our first organised event - The ATAC Junior Aquathlon 2020. Aimed at the TriStar Age Groups (8-14), we want to encourage participation and welcome all to have a go.
Children will start in groups of 3-4 and we have 2 different distances to choose from: -

  • The RED course is a good entry point into multi-sport for children who can swim 50m (equivalent of 2 lengths in the pool) and run 650m. 
  • The BLUE course is a little more challenging at 150m swim (equivalent of 6 lengths in the pool) and run 1250m.

  • The event will take place at Amman Valley Leisure Centre on Saturday, April 18th, 2pm to 4pm. Spaces are limited to roughly 60 per course and deadline for any remaining entries will close on Saturday April 4th.

    No trophies or prizes but there will be medals to all finishers. No chip timing but we will be making an effort to provide an overall start to finish time per child - for those not wanting to be part of a published result, you can opt out when submitting the race entry here or by emailing info@atac.club. Final details will be emailed out to those who have entered in the week leading up to the event.     Preliminary schedule for the day: -

    12:30 - Registration opens in the foyer entrance to the Sports Hall (doors to left of Leisure Centre entrance)
    14:00 - Registration closes / Mandatory Race Briefing
    14:15 - First swimmers in the water

    Start order - RED course entries then BLUE course entries

    15:30 - Last swimmers in the water
    16:00 - Poolside closed
    16:30 - Leisure Centre Closed

    Course distance may change slightly but routes, transition and spectator areas may be subject to conditions and circumstances on the day. We will aim to communicate these in the week before the event and update here. Additionally, results will be posted to http://atac.club as soon as possible on the event weekend. Pictures from the event will be posted on Social Media.

    The Leisure Centre is a short walk from Ammanford town centre. Parking is available on-site. Snacks and drinks will be available to buy from an event catering unit outside the Leisure Centre.

  • HOW TO SUBMIT THIS ENTRY:

    1. Parent's/Guardian's must complete the entry process for any participants
    2. Entering this event via this ATAC Club Shop
    3. On this form, supply all relevant details for the Junior participant's entry and agree to the Terms, Conditions and Disclaimers - when complete, click "Add to Cart"
    4. When ready to Checkout, click on the cart at the top, click "Checkout" and follow the instructions through to complete the purchase
    5. During Checkout, you will need to register to use the ATAC club online shop - These should be your details as an adult. ATAC members will have already registered as shop users for membership or kit purchases. 
    6. Payment is via PayPal but you can use a debit/credit card and do not need a PayPal account. PayPal fees are shown on Checkout.
    7. Following successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email from "ATAC Shop" (shop@atac.club) to the email address you registered as a shop user. If your email address is incorrect, you will not receive the email and we will not know that you have not received the email. We will not take responsibility for incorrect email addresses or emails lost in junk/spam folders. Please check your junk/spam folders for emails from "ATAC Shop".
    8. The confirmation email will contain a link to download your Welcome Pack and a copy of the Terms, Conditions and Disclaimers.
    9. Once registered with the shop, any downloadable purchases you have made, like event entry or club membership, will be available through your shop account at My ATAC Download

ATAC Junior Aquathlon 2020 - Terms & Conditions & Disclaimer

To be acknowledged by Parents/Guardians representing Junior participants:

I declare that I will abide by the rules of the British Triathlon Federations and agents and I agree it is my responsibility to know and understand these rules. 

The event organisers and their associates are not liable for any damage, claim or expense which may arise as a consequence of my participation in these events.

I am in good health and compete at my own risk.

I understand that any published cut-off times for sections of this event will be applied and it is my responsibility to ensure I am fit and capable of meeting these times in order to complete this event.

I have read and understood the withdrawal policy below regarding this event

This is an outdoor event and is therefore at the mercy of external elements beyond the control of the organisers. The course may be affected by (but not limited to) extreme weather, road closures, building works, flooding, accidents and other incidents and changed at short notice.

I acknowledge and accept that pictures from the event may be published on Social Media.

 

ATAC have set out clearly below it’s policy in relation to athletes that enter it’s races. This is to avoid any confusion or disappointment in the event of any changes that may occur to an organised race. It also sets out the standards of behaviour expected at it’s races.

 

Withdrawal / Deferral / Refunds

No refunds will be given to entrants once the event has been entered. If ATAC receives notification at least one month before the event date then we will consider transferring the entry to the following year’s event. If there is an increase in entry fee then the athlete will be invoiced accordingly for the difference.

 

Cancellation

In this instance, entry fees shall be refunded in full by ATAC upon request. Refunds shall be paid within 60 days of the written request by the competitor to the organiser for the refunded monies and shall be made by PayPal Refund to the individual requesting the refund. These refunds shall be made to the person requesting the refund only and not as team aggregate amounts.

 

Postponement … A refund may not be requested if the event is postponed for reasons to include … severe weather conditions including snow and ice, high winds or any severe weather conditions. Disruption caused by snow and ice that can affect mass travel to the event or that makes the event course too dangerous to use is considered reason to postpone the event. If an event is postponed, the details of the postponement will be on the ATAC events page (http://atac.club) before the start time of the event … (event race start time). There will also be reasonable attempts by the event organiser to contact the participant in respect of postponement by phone and or email. Participants are advised to monitor the status of the event at regular intervals leading up to the event. We will also post out on Social Media platforms Facebook and Twitter. With reference to bad weather we will consult fully with the Emergency Services and take on board there advice and recommendations. Any postponed event, will be rescheduled within a reasonable time frame from the original date.

 

Communication … ATAC cannot be held accountable for any email that is not received by the participant.

 

Format Change - in the event of poor weather conditions or for any adverse reason then an event format may be changed.

Entries may be transferred between courses
 up to 30 days prior to an event.

 

Event Equipment … all reasonable care is expected to be exercised by competitors over this equipment. If it can be seen that competitors damage equipment maliciously or where negligence has been show in the care of such equipment, the organiser reserves the right to be compensated in respect of this equipment to the tune of the replacement value of the goods.

 

The acquisition of essential equipment in order to take part in an event is the responsibility of the entrant, and we would advise that these acquisitions are secured before entering the event.

 

THE ORGANISER … unless otherwise stated, shall be known as ATAC.

 

REFUND POLICY … Refund policy is subject to change at the discretion of the organiser and such changes shall be published within this refund policy and/ or on the website of the event to which the change applies.

 

T&C … The terms and conditions of this refund policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

 

ATAC has a zero tolerance policy towards any abusive language used by entrants and directed at marshals, and any volunteers associated with it’s races. If any such action is reported to the Race Organiser the entrant will be disqualified with no refunds provided.
